A young couple's marriage is thrown into crisis when Julieta unexpectedly shows up at the medical office of her husband, Carlos, and catches him in the arms of a passionate patient. She refuses to accept the excuses of the supposed Casanova, who swears he was the victim of the patient's sexual obsession, and decides to file for divorce. She turns to a lawyer she knew in her single days, who, upon taking the case, falls in love with her. Carlos, who truly loves his wife, comes up with a clever scheme to win her back: he skillfully maneuvers the impulsive lawyer into the role of husband, handing over all the drawbacks of the "job," while he himself takes on the appealing guise of a lover, reaping all the charm of that position. All this unfolds in a whirlwind of comic and risqué situations.
