Who are they? Angels or demons? In a world gone mad, ruled by violence, crime, orgies, and wild, drug-fueled highs, live Virgínia and Paulo. She is a very beautiful teenager who lives with her uncle, a wealthy industrialist. He is a young man precocious in the art of hustling, who decides to get ahead in life with his switchblade. They are a perfect couple: they give themselves to each other on the very night they meet and begin throwing huge drug-fueled parties. The scandal makes the newspapers. Enter Henrique, the family lawyer, who is gradually seduced by Virgínia. Prompted by her, they end up hatching a plan to seize the fortune of her uncle, the girl's guardian. The lawyer kills him. The crime takes place at sea off Cabo Frio, where the uncle owns a house. Unexpectedly, Paulo, who claims to have witnessed the murder, begins blackmailing the lawyer. When the lawyer discovers that it is all a sham, that he is merely a puppet in the couple's hands, he tries to fight back but, surrounded by Paulo's gang, he is beaten and framed. At his trial, where he is accused of attempting to rape the girl, realizing he has no way out, since the truth is as damning as the false accusation, the lawyer poisons himself. Paulo and Virgínia are cleared of all charges and, to celebrate, throw yet another wild party, never imagining that a tremendous and unpleasant surprise awaits them.
