Ozualdo Candeias: Triumpho Street
Museum of Image and Sound — SP | 2012
This exhibition draws from the photographic collection of filmmaker Ozualdo Candeias (1918-2007), who for over forty years documented São Paulo’s Boca do Lixo, a hub of film production in the 1970s. The exhibition featured previously unpublished photographs by Candeias distributed across four projections, a screening of three short films about the Boca, and photomontages printed on cotton paper. The exhibition took place during the May Photography event at the Museum of Image and Sound (MIS) in 2012, which also featured photographic exhibitions of the work by André Kertész, Andy Warhol and Claudio Edinger.
