The Black Saga of the North Video Installation

Afro Brasil Museum | 2009

Staged at the Afro Brasil Museum as part of the exhibition "The Black Saga of the North", curated by Emanoel Araújo, the video installation featured six video projections that chronicled the civil rights achievements of Black Americans—spanning the period from the end of the Civil War, through the rise of and confrontation with the racist Ku Klux Klan and the trajectories of Malcolm X and Martin Luther King, to the election of Barack Obama to the presidency of the United States.
