Ozualdo Candeias and Cinema

The film highlights the importance of Ozualdo Candeias’ work in Brazilian cinematography and looks back almost fifty years of the history of national cinema from the director’s point of view. Candeias, a truck driver who became one of the greatest Brazilian filmmakers, has a filmography comprising 33 films, including "The Margin" (“A Margem”) (1967), "The Inheritance" (“A Herança”) (1971) and "Theoption, or the Roses of the Road" (“Aopção, ou As Rosas da Estrada”) (1981).
