No prison population is growing at the same rate as the Brazilian one, which is already the fourth largest in the world. The film delves into the hell of life in Brazilian prisons to expose the inner workings of the country’s justice system, demonstrating how slowness, prejudice and a culture of fear only serve to increase violence and the existing social gap.
