Film Exhibition
Boca do Lixo Cinema: The Production of A. P. Galante
1st edition: CCBB — SP | 2004
2nd edition: Museum of Image and Sound — SP | 2012

The exhibition featured 29 films produced by Antonio Polo Galante, one of Boca do Lixo’s biggest names, responsible for films such as "The Woman of Everyone" (“A Mulher de Todos”) (1969), "Trilogy of Horror" (“Trilogia de Terror”) (1968), "The Bloodthirsty Bandit" (“O Cangaceiro Sanguinário”) (1969), "Island of Forbidden Pleasures" (“Ilha dos Prazeres Proibidos”) (1978), among others. Both editions showcased rare films that highlight the importance of Boca do Lixo’s stronghold for Brazilian cinema, and four panel discussions were held with the participation of the producer, filmmakers, and actresses from Boca do Lixo. A catalog was also published and new 35mm prints were made. The second edition of the exhibition featured the launch of Galante’s autobiography, "The Blue Ticket – Passport to Freedom" (“O Bilhete Azul – Passaporte para a Liberdade”).
