CINEMA MARGINAL IN HOME VIDEO

Heco Produções, in a partnership with Lume Films, released eight DVDs of the Brazilian Cinema Marginal. The DVDs contain feature, medium-length and short films that were little viewed, specially by the younger generation, as part of the movies were not marketed. The auteur cinema was the way found to make their production possible. In addition to the extras, like unpublished interviews and documentaries, the DVDs come with a 16-page booklet containing essays about the movement, review articles, synopsis, production credits of the films released and a “bio filmography” of the authors of the films, with new pictures and texts.
